Smoke Free Casino At Foxwoods
The smell of cigarette smoke hung heavily over the Great Cedar Hall at Foxwoods Resort Casino one recent weekday morning, as gamblers lit up freely in the cavernous slots machine room. Ventilation that workers say has improved over the years was keeping the smell to a minimum and eliminating what might otherwise have been clouds of smoke hanging over the giant room. AC has several casinos. Revel used to be non-smoking. Both Foxwoods/MGM and Mohegan Sun in CT have smoking and non-smoking areas. The non-smoking areas are pretty clean. There was only one smoke free casino in the Foxwoods side of the resort, and it was on the far end of the resort. There was a small non-smoking area at MGM as well, but it was right next to the smoking area, and not well marked, so many people smoked there anyways.

RIVER BLUE SCULPTURE
Mohegan Sun commissioned a towering glass sculpture by world-renowned artist Dale Chihuly. Titled “River Blue,” the 10,000-pound masterpiece was created by combining extraordinary artistry with architectural skill. Thousands of richly colored glass components, 2,500 in all, were hand-blown by a team of artisans in Seattle, then fully assembled on-site at Mohegan Sun. The distinctive cobalt blue, silver and clear colored glass sculpture, measuring fourteen feet in width, soars twenty-five feet above visitors, creating a spectacular centerpiece.
